After purchasing a 12,000-square-foot office building in 2016, SignaPay of Minnesota sought referrals for a general contractor to renovate the 1980s-era space. We were thrilled to get the call! The credit card processing company bills itself as a “new way of thinking in the credit card industry,” and we knew we could create a space that conveyed this message.
Our Approach
Because the building was so dated, our first order of business involved gutting the entire space. To maximize its efficiency, we installed a suite of new systems ranging from HVAC to lighting and sprinklers.
SignaPay had planned to take the second floor and rent out the first floor to another business. The SignaPay team’s vision was an open, light-filled space that accented their fun culture and innovative services. And they really wanted an exposed ceiling! To make this happen, we were able to raise the second floor’s relatively low ceiling height. For a dramatic entryway, we built an entry canopy that included a two-story glass curtain wall, new front doors and a vestibule, which brought more natural light into the upper floor. High-end finishes rounded out SignaPay’s private offices and workspaces.
The Results
SignaPay’s team feels right at home in the fresh new space. After the successful build-out, they asked us to also renovate the first-floor space for their tenant, Foreside Home & Garden.
