The Building
Located on West Circle Drive in Rochester, our Superintendent and Senior Project Manager Alija Zukanovic worked with WMG Development’s Senior Project Manager to complete an attractive 4,200-square-foot retail shell building and related site work. The building features high-quality architectural elements like natural stone, glass, articulated cornices, and aluminum shade canopies. This new building will house a Heartland Dental Clinic and is one of the latest projects in the booming Northwest Rochester corridor, which has seen many bank branches, restaurants, and retail stores built in recent years.
Our Approach
Our goal was to make this process go as smoothly as possible, especially since we were completing an abundance of the work during the 2020 pandemic. That was not the only curveball, though – right after the foundation was dug we had a large amount of rainfall that flooded our site. As foundation forms were scheduled the next day we had to act quickly and pump out almost 4′ of water. Thankfully, with quick thinking and our extensive experience in handling complex weather-related hurdles in construction projects, we were able to successfully clean up the flooding and keep the project on schedule for our partners.
The Results
Fast forward a few months to winter approaching quickly, building plans had to be wrapped up in order to get exterior finishes on. Through consistent communication, a responsive team, and our signature attention to detail, we were able to stay ahead of any issues and minimize delays on site. We successfully completed the project on time as promised – our client was thrilled and we are excited to partner with WMG in the future!
